Dunblane ECO Fest started in 2022 as a small event run by St Mary’s Church. Since then it has grown to be a partnership event bringing together local and national organisations to raise awareness of environmental issues.

EMMY award winning adventure cinematographer Keith Partridge will launch ECO Fest by sharing his adventures and describing the ECO Fest’s calendar of events. Complementary wine, soft drinks and nibbles will be available.

Do you have something that can be repaired? The Transition Stirling team of volunteers can repair small electricals, textiles, wood, tools, tool sharpening etc free of charge.

Laigh Hills
This year, Dunblane Community Council invites locals again to the Orchard Blossom Day, a national initiative to celebrate orchards in the UK. Join us in the Laigh Hills Community Orchard on 4/5/25 from 1 pm to 3 pm to enjoy the fruit tree blossoms and have fun with a quiz. Bring a picnic or try some fruit and snacks available on the day!

We are delighted to be hosting a screening of SCOTLAND: The Big Picture’s brand new feature-length documentary, Why Not Scotland?
As we stand at a vital crossroads in the future of our land and seas, Why Not Scotland? explores the Scottish landscape through the eyes of Flo, a young Scot from Glasgow. Encouraged by these stories of hope and renewal, she is prompted to wonder: if this is possible elsewhere, then why not Scotland?

Immerse yourself in the world of upcycled bookbinding, using found and foraged materials at every step of the journey, from making your own paper from recycled pulp, to creating inks and tools from botanical materials, and finally binding your creations together in a beautifully stitched botanical book.

An illustrated talk on re-wilding from Northwoods. Northwoods is a network of 100 farms, crofts and community woodlands across the whole of Scotland that are committed to following rewilding principles.

Join us to continue shaping the Local Place Plan for Dunblane. We are keen to hear suggestions from Dunblane Community on how to improve Dunblane (the High Street, spaces for youth, playgrounds, green spaces, local food growing, climate change preparedness etc.) and how to promote and support Historic Dunblane. The workshop will be run on the day by Imagine If, a community engagement practice, to work with Dunblane Community.

The informal “Lets pick it up Dunblane” group meets monthly to litter pick for an hour in Dunblane. All equipment needed is provided, and it’s something all the family can get involved in.
